Mrs. Wright grew up in Roanoke, VA. She went to school at Piedmont Baptist College, where she earned a B.S. in Education. She has been married to her husband, Heath, for 19 years. They have one furbaby, Precious, (a cat). She enjoys reading, studying, and spending quiet evenings with her family. Her favorite verse is Psalm 18:2.
Melanie Thompson was born where the banjos play (Franklin County) but now finds residence in the very busy, hip-happening city of Roanoke, Virginia. She holds an Associate Degree of Social Sciences in Education. Ms. Thompson is studying at Western Governor’s University and her Bachelor of Arts will be in Educational Studies: Special and Elementary Education.
Melanie served as the Children’s Director at Parkway House of Prayer for many years. We are thrilled to have her teaching at KCA this year! You can also find her at Build-a-Bear as a bear builder. Her favorite verses can be found in Galatians 3:26-28 and Judges 4:22. She loves spending time with her family, finding a new hobby, and reading as many books as possible. She is excited to be teaching sixth-grade English, History, and Bible.
