King’s Christian Academy (KCA) strives for excellence in all aspects of spiritual, academic, social and personal development.  The school ministry is designed to serve Christian parents who desire a Christian education for their children. It is an integral part of Parkway House of Prayer and adheres to the church’s standards, beliefs, purposes and vision.

KCA will obey Scripture to educate children of Christian families by:

  • Serving the church.
  • Partnering with parents and their home church.
  • Building students’ faith, character and skill.
  • Being excellent stewards of the resources God provides.
  • Glorifying God and passing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to generations.

KCA’s school day is from 8:00am until 3:00pm.  Drop off begins at 7:45 and pick-up ends at 3:15.  We do have before care beginning at 7:00am and after care ending at 6:00pm.

KCA will be accredited with ACTS in October 2020 with a Dual Accreditation with AdvancEd.

For the 2019-20 School year, KCA will implement a hybrid model for the 9th through 12th grade students.  All math classes will be taught with a traditional certified teacher, and 11th and 12th grade will have a traditional certified teacher for History coursework.  All other classes will be completed using the Liberty University Online Academy.

For the 2020-21 School year, KCA will implement a full traditional model with all teachers certified through ACTS accreditation agency.  All students will have traditional classrooms with traditional teachers.

KCA will use ABeka for 2 year olds, K-3, & K-4 students. BJU Press will be utilized for K-5 through 12th grade students as well as other biblical worldview curriculum for high school students.

The student/teacher ratio will be between 10-20 students per teacher for K-5 through 12th grade. For pre-school students we will follow the state guidelines for student/teacher ratios.

In addition to attending Bible classes, students of all ages attend chapel weekly.  As we educate our students in a broad variety of subjects, we also seek to educate them in worship.

Parents are welcome to attend chapels which will be held on Wednesday mornings.  Please check the schedule prior to attending and sign in at the campus office before joining in worship.”

King’s Christian Academy was founded on the concept of parental involvement. Our school is an extension of Parkway House of Prayer, and we take seriously our obligation to be partners with parents in providing the best possible education for our students. KCA is dedicated to providing tools and opportunities for every student to his or her highest potential: academically, socially, and spiritually. As partners, KCA encourages all parents to become involved in their child’s education through participation in a number of service groups and other opportunities made available throughout the year. Please check out our Lion’s Pride link under the Student/Parent tab for more information on parent involvement.
