High School Science

Welcome to

Dr. Schaubach

Dr. Bryan Schaubach (shaw-back) will be teaching our High School Science courses and Middle School Math. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Old Dominion University. From there, he obtained his doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston – M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. His Ph.D. was awarded in Biochemistry with a specialization in Human and Molecular Genetics. From this research background, Dr. Schaubach transitioned into education and taught biological sciences for over 10 years to entry level college students and high school students.

Though he grew up on the coast of Virginia, Dr. Schaubach and his family settled in Roanoke in 2003. He is happily married with two children who are now attending college and off making a life for themselves. Dr. Schaubach’s favorite verses come from Habakkuk 3:17-18, “Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation”.
