Mr. Kennerknecht has been in education for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Chaffey College and Grand Canyon University. Mr. K. taught PE for eight years, and then he worked in school business for 28 years, with his last position being the Purchasing Supervisor. Before coming to Roanoke, he taught at Water of Life Christian School in Fontana, California. He was the 8th Grade homeroom teacher as well as the Middle School Math teacher. He coordinated the chapels and outreach for the middle school. Also known as Coach K., he was also the boys’ sports coach. Mr. Kennerknecht was a lead teacher for the 5th and 6th grade ministry, and he taught New Testament survey for their School of Ministry.
Mrs. Kennerknecht fell in love with the Roanoke area a year and a half ago, so this summer they relocated from Southern California. His family consists of his wife, Lisa, their sons Jordan and Shawn, and their daughter Ryan, who will be a sophomore at KCA this year. Everyone in their family, except for Mrs. K, are major sports fans, and soccer is where they spend most of their time these days.
Mr. Kennerknecht is excited to begin this new phase of his life with KCA.
